When the floor of a warehouse, parking lot, or bridge deck is out of service for even a few hours, it results in direct losses. SL Sealer addresses this issue. This reactive wear-resistant sealant from GCP Applied Technologies based on ESSELAC® resin hardens in less than an hour, after which the surface can withstand vehicle traffic and loads.
As a standalone sealant for concrete and asphalt floors, SL Sealer works where the substrate suffers from typical operational loads. For example, on an unprotected concrete surface, dust gradually accumulates, and the sealant prevents dust formation. The floor is also prone to wear over time due to vehicular loads and foot traffic, and the coating provides abrasion resistance. Additionally, a common household situation, such as liquid spills, often occurs in places like warehouses. The liquid is absorbed into the porous substrate, causing stains. SL Sealer protects the substrate from penetration. It is also used in conjunction with GCP's anti-slip flooring systems to retain the filler and extend the service life of the coating, maintaining cleanliness and the aesthetic appearance of the surface.

SL Sealer is a two-component reactive sealant that contains no solvents and is fully reactive. It is supplied in pre-measured kits, ready for mixing on-site, and can be applied with a brush, roller, or airless spraying. The surface can be matte or glossy, in clear or colored versions.

The substrate must be clean, dry, and structurally sound, free of cement milk and contaminantsNew concrete — at least 14 daysSlabs at ground level require an effective barrier against moisture and priming with PAR1 or PA1
Quality application is performed only by authorized and trained contractors — training is provided by GCP
