Slow hardening due to cold
Resivit is a liquid additive for concretes and solutions that is introduced during the preparation of the mixture to accelerate the processes of setting and hardening, allowing for quick achievement of enhanced mechanical characteristics
Sometimes it happens that due to certain unforeseen circumstances, such as the need for additional clarification of some technical details of the work, or logistical delays, the work schedule at the site is shifted. There are risks of not being able to hand over the facility before the end of the favorable ambient temperature period. And any delays also mean financial losses. The additive for concrete Resivit can help speed up the work in this case, ensure the need for faster formwork dismantling, and generally increase labor productivity due to the possibility of double pouring, as the material helps accelerate the setting and hardening process, and in combination with superplasticizers, such properties allow for double forming in one shift. And at low temperatures, the concrete hardening process naturally slows down, so the use of special additives like Resivit to accelerate strength gain compensates for this effect and allows adherence to the initially established work schedule even in unfavorable weather conditions.

02
Risk of freezing. Accelerated setting reduces the likelihood of damage to fresh concrete by frost
03
Need for faster formwork removal
Resivit acts as a catalyst for the initial hydration reactions of cement, especially at low temperatures. This accelerates the start and end of setting, develops mechanical strength faster, and reduces the risk of frost damage to fresh concrete. The use of Resivit does not negate the need to follow general concrete pouring rules in cold weather.
Main areas of application:
To accelerate the gain of strength and hardening of concretes and solutions based on Portland cementConcrete pouring and repair work at low temperaturesCommercial concretePrecast reinforced concretePre-stressed concreteInjection solutions
Specification
Resivit meets the requirements of BS EN 934-2, BS 5075 Part 1 and ASTM C494 Type C.
Advantage 1
Effectively helps to compensate for the slowing effect of low temperatures on setting and strength gain
Advantage 2
In combination with superplasticizers, the combination of early setting and rapid strength gain can allow for double pouring in one shift
Advantage 3
Accelerated setting reduces the risk of damage to fresh concrete from freezing
Advantage 4
Does not contain chlorides, safe for use in reinforced concrete structures
Advantage 5
The effectiveness of Resivit is particularly useful where quick formwork removal (dismantling of forms) is required
