Renderoc® DSR

Renderoc® DSR is a fast-setting material for dry spraying, designed for concrete repair in buildings, bridges, tunnels, and marine structures, such as culverts. Rapid setting and quick early strength gain make the product ideal for repair work in situations with limited access time to the site, when it is necessary to complete the work as quickly as possible and restore operation.

Concrete degradation in aggressive environments

Structures such as tunnels, culverts, dams, locks, and other hydraulic structures are constantly exposed to water, salts, carbon dioxide, and chemicals, which often leads to damage. Renderoc® DSR has extremely low permeability, preventing water, salts, and chemicals from penetrating the pores of the concrete after application. Additionally, Renderoc® DSR can be used to increase the thickness of the protective layer of concrete over the reinforcement, which accordingly prevents the penetration of carbon dioxide into the reinforcement and protects against corrosion.

Features of Renderoc® DSR

Renderoc® DSR is supplied as a ready-to-use mixture of dry powders, designed for application by dry spraying. The material is based on Portland cement, graded aggregates, silica fume, chemical additives, and polymer modifiers, providing a low rebound spray repair mortar that is easy to work with. Low water consumption ensures good strength gain and long-term durability. A single layer application of up to 200 mm can be made in a vertical position and up to 140 mm from top to bottom. Thicker layers are applied in stages.

Specification

The repair mortar must be Renderoc® DSR, a single-component polymer-modified cement dry spray mortar that meets the requirements of BS EN 1504-3, class R4. It must allow for application thicknesses of up to 200 mm on vertical surfaces and 140 mm on ceilings. The hardened mortar must achieve a compressive strength of at least 15 MPa after 24 hours, 60 MPa after 28 days, and a drying shrinkage of <300 microstrain after 7 days. The product must be mixed, applied, and cured according to the manufacturer's written instructions on a properly prepared substrate.
