Cosmetic defects (concrete porosity, local damage, surface profile irregularities)
High-performance or multipurpose cement protective coating, leveling and facing compound for application from fine edge to 5 mm, which meets the requirements of BS EN 1504-3, class R4
Often, structures such as tunnels, overpasses, retaining walls, water tanks, treatment channels, water parks, or areas subjected to movement (balconies, pedestrian paths) experience various types of defects ("pockets" and "cavities", cracks in reinforced concrete, profile wall failures, etc.). This most often occurs due to reasons such as insufficient or excessive vibration of the concrete. Insufficient vibration leaves air in the concrete, which ultimately causes porosity, while excessive vibration can lead to delamination of the concrete. Problems with formwork, dehydration of the concrete, mechanical wear, and corrosion of reinforcement can also lead to defects and failures. The Renderoc® ST-05 material is designed to fill voids from residual air, level the surface profile of walls; also, since the material is polymer-modified, it provides resistance to dehydration during application (provided that application rules are followed). The material creates a reliable barrier against carbonation of concrete, aggressive groundwater, certain chemicals, and weak acids; it is wear-resistant, which is important for areas subjected to movement.
01
Cosmetic defects (concrete porosity, local damage, surface profile irregularities)
02
Adverse environmental effects (carbon dioxide, chlorides, salts, groundwater)
03
Leakage and moisture of walls
04
Violation of the tightness of hydraulic structures (pools, tanks, treatment channels, etc.)
05
Mechanical wear
Renderoc® ST 05 consists of powder and polymer (liquid) components. The powder is added to the liquid; the mixing ratio depends on the required consistency and method of application. The consistency of the product can be adjusted for application with a trowel, brush, or roller, at a layer thickness of 0 to 5 mm in one pass. The powder component is a mixture of cements, graded fillers, and chemical additives with a maximum grain size of 0.5 mm. The liquid component based on modified acrylic polymers gives Renderoc® ST 05 a creamy consistency with very high application convenience and barrier properties. The material demonstrates excellent thermal compatibility with concrete and is fully compatible with other Renderoc repair compounds and Dekguard protective coatings.
Specification
The protective-leveling compound must be Renderoc® ST 05 — a two-component compound (powder + polymer) that meets the requirements of BS EN 1504-3, class R4. The hardened compound must achieve a compressive strength of 50 MPa after 28 days and barrier properties against carbonation <R(b) = 21 mm for a thickness of 2 mm during testing according to NT Build 357. The material must be mixed, applied, and cured according to the manufacturer's written instructions and applied to a properly prepared substrate.
