Advantage 1
Maximum compatibility with concrete with a compressive strength class of 30–60 MPa
Renderoc S is a high-strength cement-based repair material with polymer modification, specifically designed for vertical or horizontal application
Repairing vertical and horizontal surfaces using materials such as Renderoc S is a key step in restoring and extending the lifespan of building structures. The material is designed to work with concrete with a compressive strength class of 30 to 60 MPa, which meets the requirements of most load-bearing building structures. On vertical surfaces, a layer of up to 10 mm can be applied at a time. If more is needed, it can be done by spraying. Such vertical surfaces as columns and supporting walls often suffer from damage as they bear vertical loads from the building or structure; building facades are exposed to atmospheric precipitation. Objects such as tunnel walls, shafts, and tanks are in constant or periodic contact with moisture, while Renderoc S has an extremely low permeability to water. Regarding horizontal surfaces, objects such as surfaces in warehouses, factories, and parking lots often suffer damage as they are subjected to intense movement of machinery and pedestrians; horizontal load-bearing elements of buildings often suffer from leaks and concrete deterioration around the reinforcement; concrete-paved roads, bridge decks, ramps, and driveways are also constantly subjected to traffic. The material can be applied in layers up to 100 mm thick at a time on horizontal surfaces. It is worth noting that such repairs are economically viable, as current repairs of individual areas (chips, cracks, potholes) cost significantly less than complete demolition and construction of a new structure. An important feature of Renderoc S is that a special shrinkage compensation system prevents the appearance of new cracks during the curing process of the material. This guarantees that the repaired area will not delaminate from the old substrate. And since the material is compatible with strong concrete, the building structure fully retains its load-bearing capacity.
Renderoc S is designed for the restoration of reinforced concrete in cases where low permeability, high compressive strength, and abrasion resistance are required. If compatibility with lower strength concrete is needed, Renderoc HB30 should be used.
The material can be applied in layers up to 10 mm thick on vertical surfaces and up to 100 mm on horizontal surfaces at a time. Greater thickness can be achieved in layers. Vertical application of layers thicker than 10 mm is achieved by spraying.
Specification
The repair mortar must be Renderoc S — a one-component polymer-modified cement mortar for thick layer application, compliant with BS EN 1504-3, class R4. After curing, the mortar should achieve a compressive strength of 20 MPa after 1 day and 55 MPa after 28 days, and shrinkage during drying after 7 days should be less than 300 microdeformations. The product must be mixed, applied, and cured according to the manufacturer's written instructions on a properly prepared substrate.
