Emergency concrete repair
Nitomortar® PE is designed for quick and emergency repairs of concrete structures, laying, filling joints, and restoring the profile of concrete, stone, and brick surfaces
Transport facilities or objects such as industrial production or warehouses often experience various emergency situations. For example, the destruction of a manhole cover on the roadway, which is dangerous for transport, or a situation in industrial production such as the pulling out of an anchor bolt from concrete due to machine or generator vibration. Such situations require quick solutions, as downtime in production means huge losses, and an emergency situation on the road means traffic closure. The Nitomortar® PE material is specifically designed for quick repairs in emergency situations, as it has the property of rapid strength gain (already after 2 hours the material exceeds the strength of concrete).

Defects of precast reinforced concrete elements
03
Edge and step damage

Impact of chemicals and oils
Nitomortar® PE is a repair material based on polyester resin, supplied as a two-component system with pre-weighed components: liquid resin and powder hardener, ready for mixing directly on the construction site.
Winter versions of Nitomortar® PE are available, which set faster at low ambient temperatures.
The hardener system allows changing the consistency of the mixture from fluid, suitable for pouring, to trowel-applied, without significantly affecting the setting time or achieved strength characteristics.
Properties
Adhesive strength: Nitomortar® PE provides a strong bond with most construction materials, provided that the surfaces are dry and properly prepared. The bond strength between Nitomortar® PE and concrete exceeds the tensile strength of concrete, so failure usually occurs in the concrete itself, not at the contact interface.Shrinkage: The polyester resin in Nitomortar® PE is specially designed to minimize shrinkage. The linear shrinkage is approximately 0.8%. After full curing, no further shrinkage occurs.Durability: After curing, Nitomortar® PE retains its operational properties over a temperature range from negative values to +60 °C.Chemical resistance: Fully cured Nitomortar® PE is resistant to water, gasoline, oils, and many corrosive chemicals. It is not recommended for use in contact with ketones, phenols, strong alkalis, and oxidizers. Since chemical resistance can be affected by external variable factors (e.g., temperature), for specific applications, please consult your local Fosroc representative.Underwater application: Nitomortar® PE cures underwater. When considering this type of application, consult your local Fosroc representative.
Advantage 1
Rapid strength gain minimizes work interruptions — after 2 hours the material has higher strength than concrete
Advantage 2
Does not require priming
Advantage 3
High resistance to chemicals and oils
Advantage 4
Exceptional versatility — the material can be poured, troweled, or modified by adding filler without significantly affecting the setting time or achieved strength
Advantage 5
Extremely low material waste due to the ability to mix part of the package and achieve the desired consistency
Advantage 6
Cures at temperatures down to 0 °C
Advantage 7
Pre-dosed components ensure stability of material properties
