Technological gap in concrete from 10 to 75 mm
Conbextra GP is used for performing shrinkage-compensating cement grouting of free-flowing consistency for gap thicknesses from 10 to 75 mm
A technological gap of 10-75 mm in reinforced concrete and steel structures is usually intentionally left for leveling. Since it is practically impossible to pour a concrete foundation with millimeter accuracy, a gap is left so that after the installation of the machine or column support, it can be perfectly leveled. Also, due to the fact that the upper layer of hardened concrete after pouring the foundation always has roughness, slopes, or small height differences, a gap is needed for further filling with a material that will smooth out all irregularities. When installing anchor bolts or rebar, pre-defined holes (sockets) are left in the concrete, after which there is always a ring gap between the metal and the wall of the hole that needs to be tightly grouted. Conbextra GP is shrinkage-compensating, so it completely fills the space under the support plates of machines, presses, turbines, reinforced concrete or steel columns, ensuring 100% load transfer to the foundation.

Conbextra GP is supplied as a ready-to-use dry powder. Adding a controlled amount of clean water creates a flowing grout for filling gaps up to 75 mm thick. Low water demand ensures high early strength and long-term durability. Conbextra GP is a mixture of Portland cements, graded fillers, and chemical additives. The granulation of the filler ensures the production of a high-flow grout that does not segregate and does not bleed water.
Specification Requirements
The grout must be Conbextra GP — a factory-packaged one-component cement material that meets the requirements of BS EN 1504-3, class
R4, and BS EN 1504-6. It should be mixed with clean water to the required consistency; the grout should not exhibit water separation or segregation. In the plastic state, the grout should undergo volumetric expansion of up to 1% due to a gas system. The compressive strength of the grout should exceed 40 MPa after 7 days and 60 MPa after 28 days. Storage, handling, and placement of the grout must be carried out in strict accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Main Uses:
- support plates of columns
- joints between precast concrete panels
- grouting in areas with limited access for pouring
- anchoring of steel reinforcement bars
- installation of anchor/bonding bars
- consistency suitable for trowel application, can be used for grouting and as a replacement for dry repair mixtures
Advantage 1
Shrinkage-compensating — compensates for shrinkage, ensuring complete filling of the volume and reliable adhesion
Advantage 2
High strength — resistant to significant mechanical and dynamic loads
Advantage 3
Chloride-free — safe for reinforcement, does not cause corrosion
Advantage 4
Versatility in consistency — depending on the amount of water, can be applied as a self-leveling (flowable) grout or smoothed with a trowel/spatula
